My name is Michael Beach. My wife, Stephanie, and I own Peacock’s Restaurants in Stephenville, TX.

Having grown up in Stephenville, Peacock’s has always been a cornerstone in my family’s life, and it goes without saying, in Stephanie’s life as well. My grandfather would take my sisters and I to Peacock’s when we were young as a treat and later we would go to the Peacock’s on the northwest loop by Jaycee Park when we wanted some comfort food for breakfast. It has always been a place of good memories. After our careers took Stephanie and I across the country, from the west coast, all the way to the east coast, where we were reconnected, we decided to move back to Texas. In 2018 we moved back to Stephenville to get into the family restaurant business. It is a business that has been in the family for over 50 years and in 2021 Stephanie and I finished buying the restaurants from her parents, Linda and Steve Peacock.

Steve and Linda were involved in the restaurant since its inception in 1973. Originally “The Pitt Grill”, they changed the name in 1985 to Peacock’s Restaurant after they bought the restaurant from Linda’s parents. In 1988 they added the second location on the northwest loop. Steve and Linda were very active in the community, through school district activities, community committees, university boosters, and church membership. Stephanie and I are following a similar path of support through church activities, philanthropic groups, university boards and contributions, and donations and sponsorships to schools in the surrounding communities. Stephanie and I, along with her parents, feel blessed to be part of such a close-knit, caring, and friendly community.

The restaurant business has long been a part of the Peacock family and Stephanie and I look forward to keeping the grills going for the next generation.
